Will Lanterns show flashbacks to Hal Jordan's first mission?

Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan is being presented as an established, legendary Green Lantern. HBO has ordered eight episodes, but it has not released episode plots or mentioned a younger Hal, his origin, or his first assignment.
