## What Joe was after

Joe and his partner Molly Beth Gordon were tracking a sophisticated fake-currency operation. Their leads pointed to Margrave, where Kliner Industries and the Kliner family were using the town as the hub for making and moving the counterfeit cash.

## Why Jack came separately

Jack did not come to Margrave to help Joe. He arrived because he wanted to look into the story that blues musician Blind Blake had died there, then learned Joe had been murdered.

## One small unknown
